World War II: A Chronicle is a concise chronological encyclopedia of the Second World War. The diary includes all recorded historical events from the years 1931 until 1945 covering all fronts of the world's greatest conflict. As more information becomes available to the public, more will be added to the Diary, so in short - this is a continual "work in progress!"

Using the World War Two Diary is simple! Just click the "Diary" link in the menu above and select the year you wish to discover - its that easy! Or if you wish to search for something a bit more specific, simply click on the "Search" link above and enter your key words.

There are also audio files of speeches and news stories from the days of World War Two - just use the audio player located to the right. Select your file and press play - then sit back and be transported back in time!

The photo galleries include some images that have only recently been declassified and released to the public. Many include the original correspondent's remarks, the date of the photo, and even a map giving the general location where each photo was taken!
